Media has been an integral part of WMACS Summer Camp since its roots. First, there were printed camp books, which included photos from the week. As technology progressed and we were sent further into the digital age, these camp books evolved into digital albums distributed on CDs either at the end of camp or at a reunion a few weeks after camp. Only in recent years has the camp’s media presence spread to online media consumption. However, because of the increased rate at which the public digests information in this day and age, we feel the need to step up our efforts in this regard.

This internship will serve as an opportunity to learn about and engage in a modern, digital workflow. Interns will be responsible for capturing, culling, editing, and publishing photos and videos to digital media outlets such as our website, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. The internship will consist of two to three major projects, which may include:

-A behind the scenes look at what goes on during camp planning and preparation
-Daily online publication of camp classes/activities during the week of camp
-A post-camp slideshow/video montage to showcase the camp highlights
